Zero Labs is the first installment in the Point Zero franchise. You play the role of a weapon tester and trainee for the company named Cravar. Recently hired, you find yourself working in a facility situated on multiple parts of a serene lake. Upon arrival, you are ushered into your apartment within the facility.
Shortly after settling in, you are introduced to the class system. This system functions as follows: a class comprises a set of weapons, equipment, and cosmetics bundled into a cohesive unit. You are assigned your first unit and then guided to the testing area, where you undergo training to familiarize yourself with your weaponry. Subsequently, you are introduced to the central aspect of the game - the arena.
Cravar, the company you work for, has unearthed a rare and valuable metal known as Pyrolythos. This metal possesses the unique ability to generate plasma when subjected to heat. Recognizing the potential threat posed by rival corporations vying for control of this resource, Cravar opts to fortify its defenses and assemble an army capable of both protection and aggression.
Given the diverse locales on Paradise Island, the arena mode is designed to adapt to various shapes, environments, and scenarios. Offering a plethora of game modes and events, the arena provides a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience.
Gameplay primarily revolves around participating in the arena battles and advancing through the classes using experience points and currency earned from completing quests. Additionally, players may find enjoyment in collecting special cosmetic items and engaging in trading with fellow players.
Story-wise, Zero Labs sets the stage for intrigue and mystery. As an employee of Cravar, you remain oblivious to the sinister intentions of Cassano Moretti, the villainous owner of the company. While the game's narrative may not delve into serious depths in its initial installment, players can expect a sense of enigmatic suspense as they navigate the corporate intrigue of Cravar.
